A "power boiler" is a boiler which operates under high pressure for generating steam. Power boilers are typically located at power plants as well as industrial facilities such as refineries and other locations that require an industrial process or other application that steam or high-temperature water is required.
A power boiler is a boiler that generates steam (or other vapor) at a pressure of more than 15 psi for use "external" to the boiler, i.e. power generation. Other examples of power boilers include heat recovery steam generators (HRSG), organic fluid vaporizer, electric boilers, miniature boilers, and high-temperature water boilers.
